A tunnel at the intersection of Tahliah Street and Madinah road in Jeddah was decided to be built in order to reduce the heavy traffic. The soil improvement works comprise of the design and implementation of bottom plug by means of tangent jet grouting to form an impervious blanket. The purpose of bottom plug is to minimize the ground water for the underpass excavation and protection of the existing buildings and foundations of the Madinah Road Bridge. Within the scope of the project, the construction of 12,000 m of Jet Grout was designed by Kasktaş. The contract was signed with Advanced Construction Company on September 5, 2019.
