Within the scope of the Michurinsky residency project in Moscow, test pile construction works were started as of February 2018 in order to verify the load-bearing capacity of bored piles. Within the scope of the project, there are 800 no. of Dia.: 880 mm bored piles with a length of 24 m. These piles will be executed in accordance with a patented pile application of NIIOSP. These piles will be drilled and concreted similar to the bored piles. After the concrete is poured into each pile, a precast concrete pile will be installed into the fresh concrete of the piles, which increases the adherence between the soil and the pile concrete and consequently increases the pile bearing capacity. Moreover, jet grouting will also be executed within the pile base so as to prevent the sand boiling and improve weak and soft soil conditions encountered around the pile base.
