Design of 22.5 m deep excavation support system of this project; which is located along the shoreline of Bosphorus and adjacent to the actively used existing education buildings was performed by ourselves. As a result of the analysis, a diaphragm wall supported by steel struts was chosen as the most suitable shoring system. In order to reduce the buckling length of long steel struts; which had to be used due to geometry of the site, additional barrette piles were also constructed.
