Within the scope of the Satellite Desalination Plants Construction Project, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Environment aims to build 8 number of desalination plants on the shoreline of Red Sea. The Umluj Plant is one these eight plants and capable of desalinating 18,000 m3 of sea water to provide to the residential area. 2,000 m of 1000 mm diameter secant pile installation for the water inlet structures was completed between July 20 and September 15, 2019.
