Eroğlu Skyland Project

Skyland Project consists of 3 number of tower (Offices, Residences and Hotel) and a shopping with wellness center. This is the deepest excavation project with its 76 m depth supported with anchors not only in Europe but also in the World. In this prestigious project, the design and construction works were performed by KASKTAŞ. In the design there are 5 no. of berms; 4 berms with anchors and bored piles and 1 berm with anchors and shotcrete.

Within the scope of project, bored piles with a total length of 18,000 m; mini piles with a total length of 18,500 m; soil nails with a total length of 10,250 m and prestressed anchors with a total length of 266,000 m were accomplished successfully. Soil profile consisted of sandstone & claystone layers objected to tectonic movements beginning from top of the shoring.

Although serious difficulties were encountered both in anchor and pile construction due to very stiff diabase dikes having a thickness of about 30 m and a compressive strength of 35 to 100 MPa, all problems have been overcome with the help of advanced engineering solutions and constructions were completed successfully
When final excavation level was reached, observed maximum deformation was about 30 mm. When the depth of shoring system is taken into account, this deformation is calculated much less than the one expected and assumed. This is very important regarding to performance of shoring system.
