DEEP EXCAVATIONS

DIAPHRAGM WALL

Diaphragm walls are executed with the aim of ensuring the stability of deep excavation pits, keeping soil and surcharge loads, controlling settlements around vicinity and the heave on the excavation base. In addition, the diaphragm walls are the most suitable shoring system since they can provide the required impermeability, where there is a high groundwater. The diaphragm walls can be designed and constructed as a temporary or permanent systems.

ANCHORED PILED WALL

King piled walls are the shoring systems; which are used in order to provide stability of deep excavation pits with intermittent, tangential or secant piles supported with horizontal elements; such as anchors, soil nails or steel pipe struts.

ANCHORED MINI PILED WALL

King mini piled walls are the shoring systems; which are used in order to provide stability of deep excavation pits with mini piles supported with horizontal elements; such as anchors, soil nails or steel pipe struts.

BERLINER WALL

Berliner wall; consisting of vertical elements (H or I steel profiles) and timber lagging; is a permeable economical and fast shoring system usually applied areas; where there is no groundwater or where ground water level is low.

MULTICELL DIAPHRAGM WALL

This is a special impermeable diaphragm wall application executed in order to perform the excavation in dry conditions. Panels are distributed circularly along the shoring center line. The shoring system; which can be either permanent or temporary, works as cantilever with the help of arching effect of the shoring system without need of horizontal supporting element (anchors/struts etc.).

SHEET PILE

Sheetpile walls are used to resist lateral loads so as to form an impermeable shoring system.

TOP DOWN

The Top-Down excavation method is used where the structure is constructed from top to down while excavation is continued, unlike the classical deep excavation applications. The design and construction stages of this simultaneous construction and excavation method; which saves considerable time and cost are different from the conventional excavation systems.

SLURRY WALL

Slurry trench is an impervious application; which consists of mainly bentonite, cement and water mixture to be used especially under the dams and similar structures in order to form impervious walls.
