SOIL IMPROVEMENT

STONE COLUMN

Vibroflotation method is one of the ground improvement technique used in recent years, in order to form stone columns of coarse gravel in loose granular soils in order to densify loose granular soils against the risk of liquefaction and in order to control excessive settlement in soft clays by.

VIBRO COMPACTION

Vibro compaction by vibroflotation method is especially used in fully saturated and very loose sandy soils such as hydraulic fills. Water jetting removes loose materials and stabilizes the hole caused by the vibration of the vibroflot. So that 25-75 mm diameter granular fill material can reach the bottom of the vibroflot and form a stone column; which is compacted and interlocked with the surrounding soil.

DYNAMIC COMPACTION

Dynamic Compaction is a ground improvement process for compacting and strengthening of loose and soft soils by applying dynamic stress and vibration to the ground surface by dropping of heavy weights in a predetermined grid patterns with several phases.

JET GROUTING

Jet grout column is one of the well-known and widely used ground improvement method in different type of soils in which the in-situ ground is directly mixed with a grout; mixture of water and cement. Drilling and grouting will be done through one rod in which the grout will be injected by a high pressure varies from 400 to 600 Bar. The high speed of the grout mixture, coming out of the nozzle, destroys the natural structure of the soil and creates a mixed ground-grout column. The diameter of jet grout columns obtained with this system are different depending on the soil characteristics and the parameters used.

DEEP MIXING

Deep mixing, is a mixing process of soft clay or loose sand soils with cementitious materials in place. This improvement method is used to increase the strength of soil and to reduce the permeability.

GROUTING WORKS

Drilling and Injection works are used for soil consolidation, construction of impermeable walls (rock or alluvial) and achieving filler-contact applications (concrete-rock, concrete-concrete).

RIC RAPID IMPACT COMPACTOR

A shallow ground improvement technique to be used for densification of loose and soft soils by dropping a maximum 7.5 ton weight attached to a track-mounted excavator, from a controlled height using a hydraulic hammer, which repeatedly strikes an impact plate on the ground surface.
