On the northeastern coast of Sakhalin Island in the Russian Federation, a total of 100,000 m of 500-600 mm diameter bored pile and 2,000 m2 of sheet pile wall were executed in three phases at the On-shore Processing Facility Project (OPF) constructed by a Bechtel-ENKA-Technostroy consortium (BETS). At full capacity, the facility’s daily processing capacity is around 51 million m3 of natural gas and 9,500 m3 of oil. The successful completion of this unique project has demonstrated the international competitiveness and high quality work of KASKTAŞ and its engineers in an extremely difficult environment in one of the most challenging construction projects.
